HK to start short selling trade under SH-HK stock link program in Feb., report
BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited is pledging to start short selling trade under the Shanghai-Hong Kong stock connect program in February, Shanghai Securities news reported on Tuesday.
The Hong Kong bourse will launch test trade for short selling of Shanghai-listed stocks under the program on January 31 and will unveil the rules for the trade at the same time, said the daily.
However, the exact time for launching the short-selling trade will be fixed after the rules are approved by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong. (Edited by Li Xueqing, email@example.com)
