Chinese exchanges preparing to launch option products
BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Major Chinese exchanges are actively preparing for the introduction of option products at their "proper time", according to information disclosed on the 10th China (Shenzhen) international futures conference held on Sunday.
Huang Hongyuan, president of Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), said the SSE is preparing to introduce stock option as soon as possible.
Ma Xiao, vice president of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), disclosed that the SZSE is also actively preparing for stock option and ETF option.
Yang Maijun, chairman of the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFE), said if copper options could be introduced in the future, it will play the role of auxiliary futures in serving the real economy.
Zhang Fan, chairman of Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE), expressed that the ZCE will launch agricultural product options at proper time.
Li Zhengqiang, chairman of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), said the DCE is also to introduce agricultural product options. (Edited by Hou Yujie, email@example.com)
