Five Chinese cities to pilot coordinating development of e-commerce, logistics

BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) – China's Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Commerce and the State Post Bureau have jointly issued a circular on piloting coordinating development of e-commerce, logistics and express and decided to launch the pilot project in five cities.

The cities are Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Hangzhou, Fuzhou and Guiyang.

MOF is to allocate a special fund to help the cities carry out the pilot work.

Major tasks of the pilot cities include constructing necessary infrastructure, regulating related vehicles, solving problems on delivery of goods, training employees and encouraging cooperation between e-commerce companies and logistics and express operators.
