China's NDRC formulating pilot plan on agricultural water pricing reforms
BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) – China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and other related departments are formulating a pilot plan on agricultural water pricing reforms, revealed Gao Juncai, a senior official with the NDRC, at a press conference on Tuesday.
The press conference focused on accelerating construction of major water conservancy projects.
Gao also said that among 172 water conservancy projects, major agricultural water-saving projects have been given top priority. By the end of 2015, efficient water-saving irrigation area is estimated to exceed 6.67 million ha, double the target, added Gao. (Edited by Liu Xiaoyun, email@example.com)
