BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) – China's three ministries held a video conference on Thursday to accelerate the progress of water conservancy projects and ensure that this year's major projects will be completed on schedule.

According to the conference held by the Ministry of Water Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, China will speed up construction of rural drinking-water security projects, water-saving projects and farmland irrigation infrastructure projects this year and next.

The accelerated construction of water conservancy projects will benefit the sectors of water-pipeline, large water conservancy facilities, agricultural irrigation and renewed water use, analysts say. Related listed companies including Gansu Dayu Water-Saving Group (300021.SZ), Gansu Yasheng Industrial Group (600108.SH), Shandong Longquan Pipeline Engineering (002671.SZ), Inner Mongolia Hotision & Monsod Drought-resistance Greening (300355.SZ), Zhejiang Reclaim Construction Group (002586.SZ) and Shimage Pump Industry Group (002532.SZ), will be among major beneficiaries.    (Edited by Liu Xiaoyun, liuxy08@xinhua.org)
