BEIJING, June 16 (Xinhua) – Ping An Bank and Huaneng Guicheng Trust issued 2.631 billion-yuan credit-support securities on the Shanghai Securities Exchange (SSE) Monday, the first of its kind on the exchange and indicating that the pilot credit-backed securitization has made a significant progress.

Earlier, credit-backed securities could only be circulated between banks' bond markets, with tepid trading and low liquidity. Ping An Bank's issuance of petty-consumer-loan supported securities on the SSE is an important step to open and connect inter-bank bond markets and exchanges' bond markets, analysts say.   (Edited by Liu Xiaoyun, liuxy08@xinhua.org
