Mkt Talk: CHN Exchange T-bonds end up amid risk aversion sentiment

BEIJING, Mar. 7 (Xinhua) – China's stock exchange-tradedT-bonds ended up Friday amid risk aversion sentiment.

The Government Bond Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) ended up0.01 percent at 140.01 points, and turnover declined 71.72 percent to 40.44 million yuan.

Traders noted that the Chaori debt default event fueled up investors’ risk aversion sentiment and prompted them to turn to safe haven assets such as interest rate-linked products to duck risks, which was favorable to T-bond prices.

SSE Corporate Bond Index ended up 0.03 percent at 168.37 points Friday.Turnover edged up 17.16 percent to 2.39 billion yuan.

SSE-quoted convertibles gained momentum on Friday with 13 advancers,3 decliners and 2 flat. Shanghai Composite Index ended down 0.08 percent at 2,057.91points on the same day. (Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
